Jewelers Essentials (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Jewelers Flow mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

IMPORTANT: All data collected by the App is stored exclusively in YOUR personal iCloud account. We do NOT have access to, store, or process your data on any servers we control. All data remains under your complete control in your iCloud account.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.


2. Information We Collect

CRITICAL PRIVACY FEATURE: All data collected by the App is stored exclusively in YOUR personal iCloud account. We (Jewelers Essentials) do NOT have access to, store, or process your data on any servers we control. All data remains under your complete control in your iCloud account.

2.1 Account Information

Stored in YOUR iCloud Keychain:

  • Username
  • Email address
  • Password (encrypted and stored securely in iOS Keychain with iCloud Keychain sync)
  • User role (Admin, Manager, Sales)
  • Commission percentage (for sales users)
  • Security questions and answers (for password recovery)

2.2 Customer Information

Stored in YOUR iCloud CloudKit database:

  • Customer names
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Physical addresses
  • Customer photos
  • Purchase history
  • Repair history
  • Payment information

2.3 Inventory Information

Stored in YOUR iCloud CloudKit database:

  • Jewelry item details (name, SKU, description)
  • Item photos
  • Pricing information
  • Inventory quantities
  • Supplier information
  • Location data

2.4 Sales and Financial Data

Stored in YOUR iCloud CloudKit database:

  • Sales transactions
  • Payment records
  • Layaway information
  • Commission payments

  • Jeweler assignments

Stored in YOUR iCloud Key-Value Store:

  • Device identifiers (for app functionality only)
  • App usage data (for app improvements)

Note: This usage data may be collected by Apple through standard iOS analytics, not by us directly.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our App: Enable core functionality including inventory management, customer management, sales processing, and repair tracking
  • To manage your account: Create and manage user accounts, authenticate users, and provide account security
  • To process transactions: Handle sales, payments, and financial transactions
  • To sync data: Synchronize your data across your devices using your iCloud account
  • To improve our App: Analyze usage patterns and improve functionality

Important: All processing occurs locally on your device or through your iCloud account. We do not process your data on any servers we control.


4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Data Storage – YOUR iCloud Account Only

We Do NOT Store Your Data: All your data is stored in YOUR personal iCloud account, not on any servers we control.

  • Core Data: Stored locally on your device and synchronized to YOUR iCloud CloudKit private database (container: iCloud.com.jewelersflow.app)
  • UserDefaults: Synchronized to YOUR iCloud Key-Value Store
  • Keychain: Passwords stored in YOUR iCloud Keychain
  • No Server Storage: We do NOT have servers, databases, or any infrastructure that stores your data
  • Your Control: You have complete control over your data through your iCloud account settings
  • CloudKit Container: Data is stored in container iCloud.com.jewelersflow.app in YOUR iCloud account

4.2 Security Measures

  • Apple’s Encryption: All data is encrypted by Apple’s iCloud services
  • Access Controls: User roles and permissions control data access within the App
  • Secure Authentication: Multi-factor authentication support through security questions
  • Auto-logout: Automatic logout after periods of inactivity for security
  • Apple’s Security: Your data benefits from Apple’s enterprise-grade security infrastructure
  • We Cannot Access: We cannot access your data because it’s in your iCloud account, not ours

4.3 Data Retention

  • Your Control: You control data retention through your iCloud account
  • Local Deletion: You can delete data at any time through the App
  • iCloud Deletion: Deleted data is removed from your iCloud account according to Apple’s policies
  • Backups: Backups are stored locally and in your iCloud account, managed by you


5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 We Do NOT Have Access to Your Data

Critical: Because all data is stored in your iCloud account:

  • We cannot access your data
  • We do not store your data on any servers
  • We do not process your data
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data (we don’t have access to it)
  • We do not have any databases or servers that store your information

5.2 Limited Sharing

The only sharing that occurs is:

  • Your iCloud Sync: Data is synchronized through YOUR Apple iCloud account (subject to Apple’s privacy policy and your iCloud settings)
  • Apple Services: Apple may process your data as part of providing iCloud services (subject to Apple’s privacy policy)
  • Legal Requirements: If legally required, authorities would need to contact Apple directly (we don’t have access to your data)

5.3 Service Providers

We use the following Apple services (which you control):

  • Apple iCloud CloudKit: For Core Data synchronization (YOUR iCloud account)
  • Apple iCloud Key-Value Store: For settings synchronization (YOUR iCloud account)
  • Apple iCloud Keychain: For secure credential storage (YOUR iCloud Keychain)
  • Apple App Store: For app distribution and payment processing

Important: These are Apple services that you control through your Apple ID. We do not have access to your data stored in these services.


6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Correction

  • You can access and update your account information through the App
  • You can view and edit customer, inventory, and sales data you create
  • Admin users can manage all data within the App
  • All data is in your iCloud account, which you control

6.2 Data Deletion

  • You can delete individual records (customers, items, sales, repairs) through the App
  • You can delete your entire account and all associated data
  • Local backups can be deleted through the App’s backup management
  • You can delete data from your iCloud account through Apple’s iCloud settings

6.3 Opt-Out Options

  • You can disable iCloud sync (though this will limit multi-device functionality)
  • You can disable auto-logout features in settings
  • You can decline to provide optional information (some features may be limited)
  • You can manage your iCloud data through Apple’s iCloud settings

6.4 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect (all stored in your iCloud account)
  • Know if we sell or disclose your personal information (we do not sell your data – we don’t have access to it)

  • Withdraw consent (by deleting the App and your iCloud data)

7. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Note: Since all data is stored in your iCloud account, you control what data is stored and can delete it at any time.


8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence as part of Apple’s iCloud service. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to Apple’s servers (which may be located in various countries) for iCloud synchronization purposes.

This transfer is handled by Apple, not by us. We do not control where Apple stores your iCloud data.


9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
  • Updating the “Last Updated” date
  • Sending you an email notification (if you have provided an email)

Jewelers Essentials is the data controller for the App’s functionality. However, since all data is stored in your iCloud account, Apple is the data processor for your iCloud data.
